Just heard the news that Architecture for Humanity, the non-profit design organisation is to close its main offices in the US. It seems that the novelty wore off, the media stopped caring and the funding dried up.
Known for popularising the term “design like you give a damn” and working for over 15 years helping communities through good design, particularly in post-disaster situations. Question now is can any one else take their place and how else can architecture work for the most vulnerable people on earth.
